PLAYA MAJAGUAL

There are few beaches left in Central America like Playa Majagual.  The defining force here is not man, or development, but nature itself.  The wind, the water and the sun have created this place.   Carved out from rock by the sea, a tranquil, natural harbour exists with gentle, warm waters.  Rancho Majagual is the only property located on this beach and we strive to exist in harmony with the raw and pristine ocean front.  Soft white sand and gentle winds blow on this sunny beach front.  Watch the dazzling, colour filled sunsets behind the iconic shark finned rock that flanks that defines Playa Majagual . 

Local fishermen enjoy spear fishing for spiny lobster and octopus off the beaches north end where the conditions are ideal for catching a fresh meal.  Often, you will find yourself to be the only soul on the beach. You see- it's one of San Juan del Sur's (and Nicaragua's) best kept secrets.  How secret? While even local San Juaneno's call it The Secret Beach.    Considered too far, or too remote, by travellers looking to experience the night life of San Juan del Sur has left Playa Majagual untouched, creating a deserted island atmosphere, where drift wood and coconuts wash up on the shore.  And the only trace of people are your footprints left in the wet sand.
